MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING – September 18, 2006 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., James Deming and
Steven Dellaguistina
The Board of Selectmen discussed a letter that was received from WPOA regarding Sign Bylaw regarding Map 116 Lot 19.1 Meadow Drive. A copy of the by law will be sent to the resident.
An inventory list will be requested of all department heads and must be received by June 1.
The Board discussed the request of Heidi Cowles asking for finance assistance for obtaining a trash permit. Heidi Cowles will be assisting with the inventory to help cover the cost of her trash permit.
The procedure for the sale of Map 116 Lot 10 owned by the town was discussed. Regarding the location of the right of way; a surveyor will be contacted and then discussed with the owner of Map 116 Lot 19.1 Meadow Drive.
Board of Selectmen’s meeting policy is as follows:
The board will only recognize those individuals or groups who have contacted
the Administrative Assistant to be placed on the meetings agenda by noon of
that Monday's meeting. The board may also limit the amount of time allowed
for individuals to speak. Also, it is requested that you state the purpose
of your visit so that the board can plan accordingly. Walk ins may be
recognized if time allows at the end of the meeting. No appointments will be
taken on the third Monday of each month.
Appointments for 2006 were discussed. Letters will be sent to anyone who was nominated for an appointment.
Waiting to hear from Huntley Assoc. for a recommendation on the next step for the Highway Garage.
The Board discussed projects for the Highway Department and obtaining additional part time help. The Board of Selectmen will be meeting in executive session on Wednesday, September 27 for the purpose of holding interviews for the position of Highway Superintendent.
Projects: Crack Sealing, Guardrails, Line Painting, Culverts, Beetle Road, Schoolhouse Road, Hartland Road, all dirt roads, Sand and Salt, Road Drainage, Ditches, Flags, Road Signs, Tree Work for Winter, Equipment, Transfer Station, Inventory and Electricity with all town buildings
